The Rabbi is absolutely right. It’s not by accident that the tech billionaires in Silicon Valley don’t allow their kids to use the very social media products that they invented and they they promote to the public. Not having social media isn’t a ‘sacrifice from your happyness for the sake of hashem’. Being involved in social media doesn’t bring you happyness, that’s the point, it only brings disfunction increased anxiety depression and a myriad of other negative psycho spiritual consequences. If you give a machine gun to your kid, of course it’s not a 100 % certainly that they will get hurt or that they will hurt someone else, but it’s certainly beyond foolish.

So simple, true and powerful
